Analogue telephone lines price increase

You may already be aware that Analogue telephone lines are soon to be a thing of the past. With this product now in the final stages of being discontinued we regretfully must advise that any of our customers still using these lines, there will be a price increase taking the line rental price to £18.00per month from the beginning of February.

Telecom Networks have not made this decision lightly and we are proud that we haven’t had a price increase since we started trading 13 years ago, however, due to circumstances out-with our control, the cost to our business to support these lines has greatly increased.

In many instances you have this type of line for an alarm line, internet line, payment machine when there are alternative options available that don’t involve a monthly charge for said line.

With the PSTN switch off due to complete within 2025, Business within all sectors are actively looking at solutions to move their PSTN services. The challenges around Ofcom regulations and the aggressive timescales have brought the PSTN switch off to the forefront of both B2B and B2C thoughts and planning. Alarm Lines: If you use an analogue line for an alarm, have a discussion with your alarm company they now offer this by using 4g.

Payment Machines: Contact your payment machine supplier, like us they are aware of the digital switch off and are keen to get you to use your card machine over the internet.

Broadband: In most areas there is now a circuit called SOGEA, this is broadband connection ran in a similar way as you have just now but the line it sits on, no longer has a number associated to it.

Fax Line: When email came along most businesses stopped using fax lines, ask yourself is it really

necessary to keep a fax line?

Lift Lines: Lift lines previously had to have an analogue line for emergency calls, contact your lift company and ask what the alternative is for this, as again they will have another route for you take.

Many of our customers are no longer using the old legacy lines for any of the above services, if we do not invoice you on your monthly bill for analogue or pstn line rental services then the price increase will not have an impact to you, if you are still been billed for this line type then please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss in detail the alternatives.
